Golden Teacher (GT) is a moderately psychoactive magic mushroom that provides a mellow experience for first-time consumers. It is one of the most popular and widely recognized strains of magic mushrooms.
Named for their shining golden caps, Golden Teachers were discovered in the 1980s. They grow in Southeast Asia, Central America, and Australia. These mushrooms are easily identifiable by their golden appearance.
Description
Identifying Golden Teacher
GT fungi have a distinct appearance, with dense clusters of medium to large mushrooms. These fast-growing mushrooms can produce over 2–4 flushes.
- Cap: Large mushrooms with golden-brown caps, wider than their stems, and have a small bump in the center. As they mature, they flatten and turn caramel or honey-coloured, reaching up to 10 cm (4 inches) wide.
- Stem: Thick and dense
